The Kebab Shop - San Diego

Been coming to this location for the 12 years. It is our go to lunch spot when coming to SD for comic con. The food is delicious and the staff are great. Love that they are expanding and popping up everywhere now.Food: 5/5

The food was absolutely fantastic! I’m a big fan of rolls, and they truly excelled in that area. I ordered the falafel fire wrap with saffron rice, and it was delicious—definitely worth the money. However, the staff definitely dampened the experience. They seemed unwelcoming, with a rather grumpy demeanor. I can handle less-than-stellar food if the staff is friendly, but the woman taking my order had a sour expression and didn’t really explain the menu well. As for the atmosphere, it could use some improvement, but that was manageable.

The ordering process was swift and straightforward. The restaurant was clean, and there were several high chairs available for children. I tried The Box, which included falafel, saffron rice, and a salad. The falafel was quite delicious, while the rice was satisfactory, and the salad was rather bland. I think I would opt for a different side next time. Overall, I would definitely come back if I'm in the neighborhood. As for kid-friendliness, there were high chairs available, and my toddler really enjoyed the food.

This restaurant is conveniently located near numerous hotels and apartments in San Diego. We walked over from the Marriott Vacation Club Pulse. The food was excellent; I had a box lunch while my wife enjoyed a wrap, both featuring delicious beef/lamb (gyro) meat. The flavors were impressive, and the fries and hummus were fantastic too. Service was quick, and the atmosphere was casual and friendly. I highly recommend it!

In the area and wanted some kebabs! Glad I gave this place a chance ! The food portions are ginormous! Very tasty and hot so that was great . It wasn't super busy but I don't think it would matter as service was great ! The ambiance inside is pretty nice and chill ! The spaceIs enough so you don't feel overcrowded .
