Merkado - San Francisc

Great Mexican restaurant near oracle park! We ordered margarita pitchers to share (they were absolutely ~delicious~ as well as guac and chips (also ~amazing~ . I ordered camarones for entree which, although very tasty, was a bit overpriced. $36 for 5 pieces of shrimp with some rice, was it worth? The food itself was great though- sauce was spot on, shrimp grilled and rice cooked perfectly. PSA to those who order camarones: be careful when peeling, the sauce squirted all over my shirt and they don't come off easy.

Ok food. Nice drinks. Asada was passable. The tacos were good. You can probably find

Food was ok. Enchiladas were warm, not hot. The chips and salsa were good. Service was the bad part. Waited 20 mins for drinks, another 15 to place an order. Food took a while to come out...so for just food and drinks, it took a little over an hour and a half and we could see staff looking at their phones by the kitchen.

It's different. Very loud and very slow service. Don't be expecting your typical tex-mex because that's not this at all.

Surprisingly really good food! Lots of corporate events here, so food being genuinely good was very surprising. Especially compared to other taco places that are more expensive.
