We sat at a round table, enjoying the stunning view of the bay as we sipped our Long Island Iced Tea and Anchor Steam. We had just stopped in for an appetizer before our big anniversary dinner that evening, having traveled from San Jose. Terry ordered the mussels served in a skillet, while I opted for the calamari. We eat a lot of these dishes both at home and when dining out, but without a doubt, these were the best mussels we've ever tasted. The presentation alone makes them worth ordering! I would love to know how you prepare those mussels. We'll definitely make a special trip back to your restaurant just for the mussels (and the Long Island Iced Tea!). Thank you for making our weekend so memorable!
Lots of gift shops and food outlets with the added bonus of seals and views.
Just visit the small shops and take pictures of the bridges and boats. The rest is not worth staying. I recommend skipping famous restaurants if you have to wait for a long time. It’s more fun to go eat ice cream. It was difficult to park the bus. Many large buses were blocking the pick-up vehicles at the rear. No one was there to manage the traffic jam. If we called for a bus, it would be blocked and unable to pick up passengers. It took us 50 minutes just to wait for the bus to enter the driveway. Later, we had to walk over and take the bus before we stopped. For your next trip, I suggest you don’t waste time here next time and take a taxi directly to the zoo or aquarium!
This is one of the best piers to visit in California. While it may not compare to Santa Monica Pier, it certainly competes well with Santa Barbara. Check it out for yourself!
