El Majahual - San Francisco

I have reserved on the open table for my friends birthday. we were going to dance and eat. when we went to the restaurant, they had no idea that we made a reservation, and the host repeated that there was a cover of 12$ of a person who had to be paid immediately before we could sit down. when we sat down, they let us give them a credit card before they would serve us soaking. our appetizers came out with our meal, and that was the last of them. I asked for a manager and wanted an answer to why we were asked to pay hard money as if we were not paying our bill? he said the host was new, that is not an acceptable answer, he had not taken any other credit card away and he had not forced it. the 12 dollars to pay a person before they sit. the manager tried to fix the situation, but we were already over insulted. the food was good. but that's all. I'll never come back. P.S. our bill was $200 and guess what. we did it.

Nice place but they had a girl at the door who basically rejected two hot girls from LA because of $20. What a loss! The management should look into this.

Salsa Wednesday is absolutely fantastic! I happened to visit during the San Francisco Salsa Festival, and the performances were incredible, especially Amanda's. I had a wonderful time dancing salsa here. The bartenders were very friendly and respectful. The dancers that night came from all over the world, and the locals I met were super welcoming. It’s an amazing event!

I had an amazing time dancing at this place! It was the most fun I've had at a club in a long time. Everyone was incredibly friendly, even though I was nearly the only non-Latino in the crowd.

Mark truly treats women with respect and dignity. The staff is incredibly kind, and the drinks are great. Sundays are the highlight of the week! – Maestra Theresa
