Carl's Jr. - San Jose

We did takeout. I got a chicken swiss bacon burger with onion rings. My girlfriend got a sandwich with sourdough, which came as slices. We both enjoyed our food.

Nice and clean establishment. Well maintained. A bit slow on serving for fast food, but I guess it?s because the burgers are charbroiled when the order was placed. Great taste.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We figured we'd be in and out and get some quick food for the road. Unfortunately we had to play 20 questions with the cashier, that's fine maybe they were new, who cares. But then we spend the next 35 minuteswaiting on our food. It was just us and 1 other customer so it's not like they were backed up but okay I get it they only had afew people on staff. What I couldn't understand was why the manager refused to do anything but sit there and talk with hisfriend who also refused to do anything. When we finally see our food being prepared my mom had ordered a chicken biscuit, one ofthe workers had accidentally grabbed it too hard and caused it to break and crumble. The manager had the audacity to tell themit was fine and to just send it. I had to bite my tongue as it was already 25 minutes in and I just wanted my food. So we getthe rest and our combo had no fries as well as my breakfast burger had only egg and a patty, for reference it's supposed to comewith that as well as hash browns, ketchup and bacon. To take this long and have 0 quality control on top of that is just atestament to the work ethic there. This is the only time I've considered sending a letter to a corporation for something sotrivial but this was enough to make anyone's temper boil.

Excellent place to get a bite when you are in this unique area, especially since there is not much to eat. It has no drive thru, so ready to go inside and order. The bathrooms are open to the public (i.e. you don't have to ask or enter a code) which is always nice because the question of using the bathroom is almost always necessary nowadays (the bathroom is made less secure? Idk lol food can come a little slower than an eile-hour mcdonalds, but the food is made fresh, and the place seems like a rotating door of high school children / elderly people, so be patient. Homeless people flow, as I said before, that this place is one of the few food spots in the area, so that people naturally flock to it, especially when they are walking. A few vans in the parking lot have people living in them, and there is a guy standing outside and practices Tai Chi when passing cars for approx. 3 4 hours when the weather allowed (no joke, only drive at 1:00, you will see it), but everyone is harmless, and I never had anyone even asked for change. Seats are spacious, extremely spacious. It is one of the larger restaurants in San Jose, and almost always empty. I think most people I've ever seen there are 6 and there are at least 15 seats. Very quiet restaurant experience, reminds me of a library. The food is a little expensive, but this is only Carl's Jr. in general I don't think to raise prices because of the restaurant. I recommend it. 5 out of 5 stars. I'll go there a week to meet my employer and we'll eat there. Never had a problem with food, staff, cleanliness or people in the area. If you are ever in the area, it is definitely a must try.
