Mexico Lindo - San Jose

This is a family favorite, but I was very disappointed with our visit over the weekend. We were a large group 8 from 4 households but our group is often larger. We were there for lunch after church, which is when the families usually go there. We were crammed into a corner booth designed for a smaller group, even though a larger booth in the main seating area sat empty the entire time we were there. We received plastic spoons with our coffee. Our server said they often use plastic when they run out of spoons. The booth was set for four. We had to request place settings for the rest of our group. On the positive side, the food is still delicious. All meals arrived hot and as ordered. My nephew has serious food allergies and the staff prepared a non menu item for him. Pre meal chips were frequently refilled, as were our drinks. 9/26/23 Went to this restaurant again last night and I am still disappointed. There is no salt and pepper on the table. You have to ask for it. You are provided a fork but no knife. The iced tea was so watered down that it had no tea flavor at all. Luckily, the food was delicious and served hot. This restaurant is a favorite of my family. Otherwise, I would stop going there.

Fantastic food and good service at a lovely location. However, it’s pricier than most Mexican restaurants in our area. We definitely plan to return. My wife requested tomatoes for her tacos, but they didn’t arrive. I also asked for a bit of lemon for my meal and had to request it twice. It would have been nice to have salt and pepper available on the table. Despite these minor issues, I left a 20% tip simply out of kindness. At $72, including tip for two people, it felt somewhat overpriced, especially since I only had iced tea and my wife had water. As I mentioned, we really enjoyed the food, so we’re willing to give it another try. I would love for this restaurant to become our go-to Mexican spot, but we’ll see how it goes.

Had a fantastic lunch with generous portions! It felt like a little slice of Mexico, very enjoyable, and the margaritas were excellent!

This is definitely one of our favorite restaurants! The food is authentic, and the decor adds to the experience. We always leave feeling satisfied. The service is consistently exceptional!
