Starbird Chicken - San Jose

Really disappointed in the overall experience at this location; the only thing going for it was the self service ordering kiosk because you didn't have to interact with the staff. Now here's why received a text at 11:50am that my order was ready but didn't actually receive my order until 12:13 while waiting for my order (after I received the text) I witnessed a staff member use her gloved hand to lift her shirt shoulder area to wipe her nose and did not change gloves soda area was extremely dirty as if it hadn't been cleaned at all for a few days salad bowls were dirty with food from probably dirty gloves. I only point all this out because I work in the food industry and this establishment should be better. Coming out of the last few years CLEANLINESS and SANITATION needs to be in the forefront of the food and beverage industry. Just do better for your guests and your staff, y'all eat there too.

Came here with a friend while visiting NorCal. Was told this place was popular in terms of chicken sandwiches and all things related. I gave this place a 3 star because the sandwich itself, although was well seasoned on the exterior, was very lacking on the inside. It was actually borderline dry on the inside, which was surprising because the exterior was well seasoned and fried. Maybe I had high expectations because my friend was hyping it, but I wouldn't say this was the best or one of the greatest chicken sandwiches I've had before. The fries don't have much to discuss about, they weren't well seasoned or at all. For the price, I'm not quite sure it's worth what it costs. But maybe NorCal prices are high since.. it is NorCal. I may not have cared for it, but I do hear the tenders are a better option? Not sure, not a huge fan of chicken tenders myself.

This is the only place where I even consider getting a salad over the other foods. The mango chicken salad is delish! They do not skimp on the avocado which I highly appreciate. I really like the chicken sandwiches too. Honestly can't go wrong with what you get!

Ok so where they lack in customer service they make up for in their food! SO. GOOD! The bread is soo fresh that sauce tho!! Holy cannoli! But my favorite is the small batch soda Hangar Cola 25! OH. EM. GEE! I don't really drink a lot of soda at all, but I get a large one here!

Ive eaten at Starbird a lot but this was my first time at the San Jose location and my first time trying their salads. I normally get their sandwiches and thought id give some of the new popular salads a try. Got the mango chicken cashew, Nashville hot bird, and Italian salads. The mango one was by far my favorite! The blend of the mango, crispy chicken, cashew, and cilantro was like a party in your mouth!!! I also really enjoyed the heat of the hot bird salad. The Italian salad was good as well but not as exciting as the other 2. Will definitely start getting their salads more!!!
