Mixt - San Jose

This is my favorite go-to place for healthy and delicious food in San Jose! I love the variety and creativity in their dishes and everything tastes really fresh and homemade. The space is really cute and small, the owner is super friendly, service is great, and most importantly the food is just amazing! I love their salads, the caprese panini, the tico wrap and my absolute favorite thing is the walnut/chocolate banana bread! It can be tough to find true plant based restaurants in San Jose, but everything at Mixt is 100% vegan (and 150% tasty! so you can safely order anything from the menu and skip the hassle of questioning ingredients. You can tell that everything is made with focus on flavor and details. Thanks for providing consistent quality lunches.... I’ll be coming back for more soon!

Pablo the owner makes everything fresh when you order it, the flavors are outstanding, the servings ample, and the prices reasonable. Try the homemade ginger lemonade, you won't regret it! Wonderful vegan restaurant in the middle of the big city.

We were visiting La Sabana park and saw that this vegan place was within walking distance. SO GLAD WE WENT! A great fresh menu, clean and modern look and patio seating. The menu is all all vegan, vegano, plant-based which we so appreciate. Was very very glad to get the tico wrap that included tofu. I had the mozzarella panini and it had a delicious vegan cheese. Affordable, too! We'll be back

This is my fourth time to Costa Rica and it's my new favorite such a cute place and small, but delicious totally vegan menu. I liked it enough to order 2 days in a row ! The caprese panini is melty and delicious and perfect with the tomato soup. The cesar salad was filling and had an amazing cashew dressing, and the ginger lemonade and kombucha were both good as well. Banana bread was the best I have had!! 100% recommended, and I will be back!
