This little gem is located in Hato Rey, San Juan, and offers delicious traditional Puerto Rican food at very affordable prices. They also have a wide selection of wonderful wines for just $19 a bottle. Better quality wines are priced between $26 and $39, making it a fantastic deal. In the evenings, they have live music featuring a talented woman playing electronic piano while singing. I can't wait to return!
For appetizers, we tried bacalaitos, empanadillas de carne, croquetas de jamón, bolitas de queso, and chistoras. Everything was fantastic except for the chistoras, which could have used a bit more crispiness. The white sangria was delightful! The entrees we ordered were all incredibly tasty: carne frita, filete de res encebollado, and filete de mero al ajillo. For dessert, we indulged in flan de café, panela de guayaba, and tembleque de coco—all of them were delicious. We also tried the coquito de turrón; others enjoyed it, but I personally prefer the classic version. Our waitress was not only kind but also very funny, which added to the overall pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend this spot for a fun and enjoyable family outing. I definitely plan to return in the evening to experience the live music!
Great restaurant with delicious food. The service is excellent, and there are plenty of choices for both lunch and dinner.
The noise level was quite high; they really need to work on the music arrangement so that it doesn't interfere with conversation. It was just too loud.
