Mountain Mike's Pizza - San Leandro

This Mountain Mike's location has become our favorite spot for pizza. My family used to order from here years ago, and it's still my go-to for parties. They are quick, reliable, and always know just the right balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. The pizzas come out perfectly baked and piping hot. My personal favorite is the Create Your Own with traditional crust, garlic sauce, and any combination of veggies. However, their sausage, pepperoni, and Canadian bacon are also quite delicious. You can order delivery through their website, as well as via DoorDash and GrubHub. If you choose to pick up your order, there's ample parking in the lot shared with Safeway and several other shops.

**Mountain Fries ($8.30)**: 7.75/10 You get a generous portion, and they’re worth ordering overall. They should be eaten quickly, as they taste pretty average after being reheated. I appreciate that they’re generous with the grated Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper packets. **Mt. Veggiemore Mountain ($49.83)**: 8/10 This pizza is loaded with mushrooms, black olives, bell peppers, artichoke hearts, and fresh sliced tomatoes in classic red sauce. It’s pricey, but it’s clearly packed with toppings. If you want a lot of toppings in general, it’s best to go for a specialty pizza. **Cheese Mountain ($44.29)**: 8/10 Half of this pizza was devoured quickly. A Mountain pizza gives you 20 slices. **Large Pizza with Pepperoni, Linguica, and Sausage ($35.98)**: 7.5/10 Unfortunately, the pizza I was most excited about was the biggest letdown. Some of the crust and most of the linguica pieces were burnt, and the toppings were sparse. The sausage didn’t stand out as I expected it to. Although the slices were tasty, I still felt disappointed. Overall, the pizzas were a hit, though the Mountain Fries didn’t impress anyone except me! I would have used a coupon, but I haven't received any in the mail for months. Even considering inflation, the prices here feel too high compared to another major chain in the area, which offers better quality pizzas at more reasonable prices. It might be a while before we order from here again.

I experienced poor customer service at this restaurant. The staff seemed to notice me but acted as if I wasn't there. They treated a phone call that came in after me as more important and, to top it all off, they were more focused on their phones than on taking my order. It simply wasn't worth the wait.

Never rely on their online ordering system. Ordered a pizza for Super Bowl and then it says 20 minutes for pick-up. You get to the store and they tell you to wait for over an hour!!! Ridiculous. Then their email system has the audacity to email you and falsely say the order will be ready in 20 minutes.

Mountain Mike's has definitely been my go to my fave pizza spot to go. Definitely surpassed other pizza restaurants. Love that they deliver, they're actually a few stores down from my local Safeway! And they always get my order right!
