Cafe On The Square - San Marcos

This bustling restaurant features incredibly friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff. The food was quite good, and the tortilla soup was the best I've ever tasted! There are plenty of dessert options available, and I highly recommend trying the chocolate silk pie—it’s delicious!

I had my first visit to this restaurant, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the food. Everything was delicious and prepared fresh to order. I will definitely be coming back again. The service was excellent too.

This is a very cozy place with a great breakfast selection! My omelet was fantastic, and the coffee was wonderful as well!

For 20+ years this is my favorite place in town to sit with friends and catch up over breakfast foods and coffee.

The food was quite a good price, but I was surprised at how bad the basic breakfast foods were. The sausage patties were like the ones from McDonald's, my fried eggs and hashbrowns were pretty bad as well. The problem may have been that we went late in the day, but they're the ones doing all day breakfast. Still, the place is nice enough, the waitresses were really attentive, and the french toast was pretty good. And pretty cheap too. The coffee when we got there was pretty bad, but they brewed us a fresh pot which was really kind, and once they did that it was a lot better. If you want cheap diner food in the middle of the day its not a bad pick at all.
