Bonchon San Mateo

Since the owner was kind enough to respond to the review, I ought to write something, so I am. I 've got vague memories of going to other Bonchon locations near prior jobs, and to be honest, I cannot remember anything good or bad about them. I say this as a contrast to this location. Every visit I have made has found the San Mateo Bonchon to be very clean and orderly, the staff friendly and responsive, and the food to be delicious and very fresh. Whether during busy times or quieter hours of the day, I 've never found myself needing to request refills of water, and at least once (if not more) during the meal, someone stops by to check in. Normally, that 's what you see at fancier sit-down places, so having that here just feels extra luxurious. As stated above, the food has always been extremely fresh. Yes, that means you 've gotta wait a second to get your food, but I 'd argue that it 's not just worth it, but infinitely preferable to having it be instant but having sat under a warming light for who-knows-how-long. All this to say that if you are walking about in downtown San Mate, and get a whiff of fried chicken, there are other options, but this is the best of them, in my humble opinion.

Customer Service is on point. The asian auntie was so nice and helpful when taking our orders. Very friendly! This place has fried chicken but other dishes as well We ordered the soy garlic and spicy chicken wings. I like the texture of the chicken here however, if you want more flavor on your chicken go next door to fire wings.

I was walkind down b street with quite an appetite when I noticed this place and realized ive never been inside Bonchon. I stepped inside and was instantly greeted by the loveliest lady and once she saw I was a little green to the scene she recommended a combo meal mixed with checken drums and wings and she recommended the half and half for flavors and let me tell you! Delicious! Absolutely delicious chicken here at Bonchon. I will definately be coming back and the lady who attended me was the sweetest person ive met in a while. I did not get her name but she was a little older and told me the restaurant had been there for 8 years so im assuming shes been there a while. She deserves a raise!

Ordered family meal via uber eats. Chicken wings and drums were crispy and flavorful (and arrived hot).

I absolutely love this place!! The pot stickers with the sauce is only delicious the wings with the garlic soy sauce omg and there is so much more on there menu I'm excited to return and try if u haven't tried this place DEFINITELY DO and the staff here are on top of everything!! The atmosphere can be loud and have an echo but the food and service makes up for this
