Bz's Sports Grill - San Pedro Town

Look, this is certainly not a fancy sport-bar but it may have the best vibe in the South end. If you are between flights at SeaTac airport why not catch an Uber and come in. I play pool there twice per week and for me it has the friendliest atmosphere I have found locally especially when the place is packed. Simple bar food, beers on tap and of course well drinks that will keep you satisfied.

Service wasn't the greatest. I ordered a beer and sat down at a table no one asked me if I wanted a menu or another drink. So I politely paid my tab and departed the establishment

I just moved to the area a month or two ago and I drive past this little joint every day and I thought, why have I not come here sooner? Well duh! The COVID pandemic shut everything down for the past year but good news is they are starting to open up restaurants and bars again so with that being said, I walked myself right into BZ 's one night with my roommates and we did not know what to expect. To be honest, it was more like me, who hasn 't gone out in for so long, the server to us (after we read the sign saying be seated, no orders at the bar and I just blanked. I 'm like, do we ask for a menu? How do we order? I forgot how to be a human in a social environment! So we asked for a menu, I forgot all the alcoholic drinks I used to enjoy drinking, and asked for a recommendation as if I was 21 all over again! I ended up ordering a Tequila Sunrise (asked for extra sweet* but you know what I ended up getting? I joked with my roommates saying, I think she heard me say extra STRONG not sweet... because boy oh boy was it frikken ' strong! Unless, I 'm just a wimp now and can 't handle my liquor. Our server was super sweet, friendly, and it was nice to interact with strangers for once! They have board games, card games, pool tables, and I don 't know what it 's called but it 's a really long table with sand and hockey pucks on there! It 's probably not sanitary but after a few drinks in me, I wanted to touch the sand and it felt so good. It was so soft! Yea... Don 't worry I washed my hands afterwards. Or did I? Just joking! Oh before this review gets too long, I almost forgot to mention the burgers and mozz sticks we ordered! Ugg, the burger was so good!! I ordered the Texas Fire Burger and the other roomie ordered a Western Burger, we went halfsies on the two burgers and we killed it in like three seconds! The mozz sticks? Did we ever get them? Because that was gone faster than you can say fiddlesticks . It was so crunchy, crispy, and gooey on the inside! What more can you ask for? For such a low-key sports bar, I may be hyping this place up but everything was great about it for my first experience! Can 't wait to go back.

Pool tables, shuffleboard bowling. Full bar and a kitchen. Come to meet the locals. I went on a Tuesday late afternoon, and there was hardly anyone there. I sat at the bar, there was a small group at a table behind me and 3 guys at the end of bar. So, this feels like a a workingman 's Sports dive bar, for lack of a better description. The decor is ehhh. I mean, what you notice are the TVs, and the games, the pool tables the shuffle bowling, the broken pinball machine. Which I asked about, and the bartender said it was giving away free games so they shut it off. Oh Oh can I plug it in just for an hour please? The waitress/bartender was very nice and attentive. I asked what The Thing is here to eat. She said the Tacos, it 's taco Tuesday today. OK , said I bring on the tacos! She said I could have them hard or soft so I chose soft. Now, looking at some of these other reviews, it appears that the burger is probably The Thing . The Tacos are NOT. I 'm from LA, or have been for the last 40 years, and I have had great tacos in my time there. These were boring, just this side of tasteless. So maybe this place is jumping on a Friday night, maybe the Burgers are great. I was generally not impressed, and if the burgers are really the thing, don 't steer us towards the terrible tacos. So here comes the score card: I start with 5 and deduct from there. Bland boring decor, OK, minus 1/2 star, Terrible Tacos, and compounded by the fact that they were recommended! OK, minus another 1/2 star. So, That leaves 4. OK, that 's not too bad. If I 'm ever there again, I will have the burger! I've been coming here for an entire year and after losing many good employees a older woman was hired. This woman WILL SCAM YOU she charged us 25 each for one drink so after 4 drinks I owed 100 not counting the food that I ordered that was not even why I ordered !!! When I asked for a receipt for the drinks she said she couldn't give it to me!!! She will SCAM YOU IN DRINK PRICES TO DO NOT DRINK HERE ANYMORE
