Panchitos - San Rafael

Stopped here on the way back from point Reyes. Great service, great food, will come back!

The best part of my experience here was the service. The staff was friendly, I was greeted and given a table quickly.The rest did not leave a passable first impression. I received chips and salsa, the chips were terrible. Thick unseasoned tortillas that seemed stale. I've never disliked chips before, I didn't even know I could.Upon receiving my combo plate, beans were good. The chili relleno was the best part. The taco does need help. It was served greasy and seemingly unseasoned.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the al pastor was just bad- both in flavor and texture; it had no sweetness and was fatty and rubbery and it seemed they had compensated by cutting it extra thin, but this did not help. I did really like their salsa, and the server was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice. It’s a shame they would use such low-quality pork when otherwise it could have been a good experience.

Always delicious, hot for takeout and fresh.Parking: Plenty of parking with handicap parking almost directly in front of restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Completely level ground from parking lot to the entrance. If doors aren't open, usually one of the staff is right there to greet customers.

Was just planning to dine in when i Heard from the Hair lady a few doors down that 2 people got sick after they ate from this restaurant. Just be careful.
