Kababbq - San Rafael

The food was delicious! This place has a very relaxed atmosphere and service. Our experience here was very beautiful. Probably not the best choice if you are in a hurry. It is worn away on the side/back of a stripe marble, so not the best location, but it has a look at the channel/Marina.

Gotta say, this place was really really good. They got the medium-rare just right on the kabob, which was a tasty surprise (because most places can't really manage that). The char on the meat was excellent. The rice was excellent, the sides were excellent. It was ready quick, made to order and left me feeling really great. I'm a big fan, if I lived in the area I'd be here all the time.

I ordered the family meal that included three kabobs, and they were all delicious. However, I would have liked a bit more yogurt sauce to enhance the flavor. The portions were quite large, and the drinks were great as well.

New Year's Eve was quite busy! Despite the crowd, the service remained friendly, and our food was served promptly. While it got a bit hectic when everyone arrived at once, the food was excellent, and we left feeling satisfied and happy. I would definitely recommend this place!

The service is excellent overall. My only concern was with the young waitress, who seemed a bit overwhelmed and moved rather quickly, which felt somewhat unsettling. Her friendliness came across as insincere. As a former waitress myself, I understand the pressure, but I believe that true success in the service industry comes from projecting a genuine sense of positivity and happiness, even when you're feeling otherwise. Despite this, she took our order efficiently, was attentive to our table, and clearly worked very hard; I even noticed her correcting the chefs. Overall, I think she did a great job—it might have just been an off day for her. In summary: great food, attentive service, and authentic Mediterranean/Persian flavors. My family and I will definitely keep coming back.
