Urban Remedy - San Rafael

As a diabetic, I stopped by the restaurant when I urgently needed something to eat to raise my blood sugar levels. However, they refused my cash payment for a $20 bill. While they accept cash tips for themselves, they wouldn’t take my cash for my meal. I explained my medical situation but didn’t have any other payment options. Even though there was a tip jar full of cash for making change, they turned me away and watched as I struggled to leave, holding onto what I could to make it back to my car.

I absolutely adore this quaint little shop and its amazing smoothies! They are incredibly delicious, and my toddler enjoys them just as much!

It's a small place with limited parking, but they offer an excellent variety of smoothies, juices, wellness shots, salads, snacks, and seasonal desserts. I really enjoy stopping by to grab snacks before heading to the movies or during a road trip.

If you haven't tried the sunflower butter and chocolate super food bar, you need to. Absolutely delicious. While they have gotten rid of their more fattening drinks, it's still good. They have chicken snacks and salads as well as drinks.
