Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse - San Ramon

Not worth the visit. It's more of a disco for older adults, with 80s music playing. The food runs out by 8 PM, and everything is overpriced.

The Gaucho steakhouse in San Ramon is permanently closed for dining. However, the nightclub operates from 9 PM onwards. I made a reservation through OpenTable for a 6:30 PM dinner, but when I arrived at the restaurant, the doors were locked. I called the restaurant and learned that the dining area has been closed for the past two weeks. The nightclub is still open at 9 PM, but OpenTable should inform customers who are eager for a Brazilian dining experience that Gaucho is no longer serving meals.

I absolutely love this place! It's our second visit, and the food was outstanding. We left feeling extremely satisfied and definitely plan to return.

The restaurant is just average. When we visited on a Tuesday at 7 PM, the place was completely empty—just the two of us in the whole restaurant. The meat was hit or miss; some pieces were flavorful while others were tough and bland. The salad bar had the feel of a budget buffet. On a positive note, our waiter was friendly and attentive.

The restaurant was not very busy as you would expect from a Brazilian Steak House. I expected a regular meal since I’m not a huge eater.. but on Friday’s Saturday’s you can only do the $69 taste test everything and buffet sides.. overly priced for what we consumed.. Service wasn’t spectacular but our waiter was personable and informative. Would I go back .. probably not to that one!!
