Amazing! I’m so happy this place exists! Not only is everything I’ve had so far absolutely delicious, but when you call and order, they’re so sweet and helpful.The fried chicken soul food plate is my favorite so far. Can’t believe how crispy on the outside, tender on the inside vegan chick’n can be! It’s made of mushrooms I believe but it’s unlike anyyy mushroom dish I’ve had. It doesn’t taste like mushrooms, doesn’t have the mushroom texture. Because sometimes I really hate that mushroom texture. These are so crispy and the seasoning is out of this world.I looove the slight sweetness in the mac n cheese too. The corn bread muffin is perfect! My favorite dessert is the pineapple cheesecake. I have never had a cheesecake that good, vegan or not. It’s just so fluffy but creamy and decadent at the same time.The pineapple cheesecake ice cream scoop goes perfectly with it. Love the texture of that ice cream as well. It’s coconut ice cream which has a tendency to be more runny when store bought, but this is creamy and perfect to me! I love everything they make here. The food here is great. I was surprised when I received my mushroom fried chicken that it was actually a mushroom fried with batter. I thought it would be fried chicken plus mushrooms lol But the pieces were yummy and huge. Usually vegetarian plates are not filling but this definitely is and you will have leftovers. If you have a gluten intolerance like I do, they will fry your food in fresh oil. Peach cobbler is excellent and they have dairy free ice cream as well. Other dishes are quite healthy but does not lack flavor at all. Their greens are to die for... creamy sweet and spicy tart. Do be aware they operate out of a community kitchen- which is awesome. Downside is you can't meet guests friends there to eat as there is no indoor or outdoor dining space. This is definitely a spot to grab your food on a Friday or weekend cozy night in with friends or a love one. The food truly is worthy of giving a try.

Shoutout to the owner who greeted us and told us about the menu and her food, she was so sweet and kind. I had the lemon cajun fried chicken with mac and cheese, yams, and cornbread. Soul food is my absolute favorite, and this was absolutely impressive. Not to mention it was all vegan, and there were lots of gluten free options as well. Never ever thought I'd ever see a vegan soul food restaurant, especially in Tucson, AZ of all places. The owner even gave us complimentary samples of her ice cream. The new pineapple passion flavor (which is not on the menu... yet) was sooo good and refreshing especially on a hot day. The cherry bomb flavor was good too and was their take on Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia. Just a warning when I arrived I had wondered if I was even in the right place, as this place is inside a big unassuming white building with FOOD PICKUP in big letters. Turns out this building houses the kitchens for various restaurants, not just this one. You order inside and have to stand around awkwardly as they make your food as there is nowhere to sit (or eat your food, so this place is takeout only), but it was all worth it. Might be better to call ahead, although when we called we weren't getting an answer which is why we just ordered there instead. This place is truly unique and warrants more attention, hence why this is my first review on Yelp in years. Hope to come back someday.

Sounds good, doesn 't it? Website looks amazing too, doesn 't it? Well, it 's all fake apart from the food, maybe, but we were so shocked when we got to their physical address we didn 't order.What did we find? A bland industrial unit operating as a virtual kitchen to nine virtual businesses, one of which is Julie 's.This was despite messaging beforehand to see if they offered dine in! We are take out however we recently started to provide settings on our doorstep. Come on by, we 'd love to cook for you they replied. Again, sounds good, doesn 't it? Well, there were no settings outside not that you 'd want to sit outside in this part of town.It 's all just fake marketing. I doubt Julie 's story on the website about her moving to a plant based diet. I wouldn 't be surprised if there is no Julie, or if the founder isn 't even a woman. So disappointed.
