Abuelos Mexican Kitchen - Sandy Springs

I wasn't impressed with my experience. I ordered the Speedy Gonzalez from the lunch menu, which cost $9.30 after tax. This seemed a bit overpriced considering what other restaurants charge, but I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the taco and enchilada were quite small (see photo). The food was packed in a standard styrofoam to-go container. In terms of flavor, I was disappointed. On the positive side, the staff were friendly, and the restaurant itself looked nice. However, I was really taken aback to find that my to-go order didn't include chips and salsa—those are an extra charge! Because of that, I won't be returning and would not recommend this place.

I came across this restaurant while driving through the area, and I’m glad I did. The food and atmosphere were both delightful, and I really enjoyed my margarita. The only downside was that our server seemed to be a bit slow, but overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would definitely return.

I really enjoy their menu and the service, but our entrees were quite salty—so much so that I couldn't finish my chicken, and I usually love chicken! Despite that, I plan to return and hope they’ve addressed the issue. We didn’t mention it at the time, but just writing this review is making me crave it again, haha. On a positive note, they were very accommodating with our dietary needs and did so with a smile!

Loved our dinner here ???? Every member of the team here was attentive and no one lacked a great attitude. Rare these days! The food was delicious-we will definitely go back! Try their Chile Relleno-I added chicken. Yum!

We have been to this place before and we have pleats experience but since the menu changed, they have increased the price of food which i understand due to covid. But charging extra for chips and salsa is unheard of at Mexican restaurant. Also we paid $2.25 for 2 oz cup of hot salsa which was half way filled!
