Restaurant Echt Heimat Cafe Bar

Simple menu, small terrace, but just a perfect place to relax after a walk or a bike tour with a beautiful view of the lake. Not really for dinner, but for lunch or late afternoon snack. The pizza is worth trying, especially with a cold stiegl. The toilet is located on the street next to the restaurant and the large city parking lot.

Make yourself sit and watch what reasonable price-performance food on the side of the lake, and drink all employees can speak well English

We had a nice coffee and cake here and enjoyed us very much. The strudel was delicious and the view could not beat. The couple belonging to this café was very hospitable.

Having been up to the top of the zwolferhor cable car it is just a short walk from the base station to this delightful cafe by the lake. It wasn't very crowded when I visited, this may be because it is located a little way out from the village centre. The waitress took my order and served me with a very nice apple strudel with cream and ice - cream. The warm weather meant the ice cream melted quickly sadly so I had to eat quick! It was all very nice and the coffee also. The cafe also serves meals and snacks for those who fancy something more substantial as well as beers, wines and spirits. I am happy to recommend this place to others visiting Saint Gilgen.

We arrived here having walked out of 2 other cafes in St Gilgen due to poor service. However we were very pleased to have found it. It is a lovely spot overlooking Wolfgangsee just 80m from the jetty where the ferries arrive and depart, opposite M-Place. Their pizza was big and delicious and the camembert with cranberries was also very good. The prices were cheaper than the places we walked out of and the service was good too.
