S'arenal De Porto Colom - Sant Joan

Me and my friend went to the restaurant. 1. No proper toilet (No soap and the sink was full of water also horrible smell 2. After sitting down we were told that we could only have drinks, while everyone around us was server food. It was not crowded. 3. We ordered a beer and went to one of the bigger chairs. In a totally aggressive manner we were told it's 40€ per person and that we did not tell anyone that we left our table. The owner and his staff are horrible. I don't even know what caused all of this. Apparently we were not welcome. Never again. Don't go there. (Fyi: I thought the negative reviews here were exaggerated.

This is far better than any beach bar has a right to be. But we'll deal with the negatives first: the service can be a little frenetic/haphazard and you will be waiting a long time at the bar to get a drink. The sun loungers are a bit pricey, though if you are lucky and smile nicely at the waiters you might be able to snag one FOC late in the afternoon but generally the place is pretty tightly policed. And it's phenomenally busy/popular so book ahead or be prepared to wait. All of that done, once you get a table you can set yourself in for a proper treat: a wonderful meal in a picturesque, lively and massively fun beach bar/restaurant. And yes, the service can be a bit chaotic but this owes more to the fact that it's ragingly popular/busy than anything anyone is getting wrong and as long as you can get your head around that, the buzz and friendly atmosphere more than make up for it. (It's a beach bar, not silver service, and the drinks always arrived at the right temperature. The food is excellent: while our fish of whatever day it was might have been a little underwhelming, the BBQ gambas were the best we had in Mallorca and everything else so good that we had to keep coming back. Prices are not exactly cheap but reasonable rather than expensive, and the whole thing makes for a fun, lively, enjoyable and very tasty experience.

Idílico local situado en plena playa del arenal de Porto Colom en la zona del faro. Chiringuito con las mesas en plena arena y espectaculares atardeceres. La carta tienen especial significación en los pescados y mariscos. Me fascinó también los postres. Lo recomiendo sin problema teniendo en cuenta que se paga por la ubicación.

El mejor lugar para combinar una playa tranquila y pescado fresco del día.
