El Encanto, A Belmond Dining Room

My friend and I very much enjoyed the Thanksgiving Buffett! Champagne was included but we both prefer wine with our dinner and it was quite expensive at $28.00 a glass. We had already paid the $165. per person excluding tax and tip so all together we had a $300. dinner each. The environment was extremely beautiful and we felt unhurried and very pampered so would do it again in years to come.

It’s beautiful out on the patio and the service was good but the food…the cauliflower fritters weren’t even fritters they were just deep fried cauliflower that u can get at any chain restaurant except these cost 42 dollars and do not come with dipping sauce. They were also cold and bland. The artichoke soup was warm but equally bland. My wife liked her scallops and beet salad but had better in other restaurants.

Always a great experience. Delicious fresh food, excellent service and a beautiful venue.

Salmon order was over cooked given request for medium rare. Service was slow and timid. Sea bass and scallop entrees excellent, as was the artichoke soup. A lot of service people around more focused on dining room set up than customer comfort.
