Open - Santa Barbara

The bar, with its money inlaid design, impressed my companion. Since it was Taco Thursday, I decided to split my order and went for two chicken tacos and two veggie ones. The veggie tacos were fantastic—roasted to perfect tenderness while still retaining a bit of crispness. I overheard one of the diners proclaim that the Autumn Harvest soup tastes like Thanksgiving dinner in a bowl. I had to try it, and it definitely lived up to the hype; it was one of the best dishes I've had. My companion ordered chicken fingers (without pepper) and French fries, and she raved about them, saying they were her favorite—real chicken that was chopped and fried to perfection. Overall, she summed up our experience with, "This place is awesome!" which is quite the compliment coming from her, especially considering that yesterday's restaurant was less impressive, to say the least.

I discovered this restaurant through Groupon, and I will definitely return. The tri-tip sandwich was loaded with tender meat—every bite was perfectly cooked and not chewy at all! The fries were simple yet delicious. They played classic rock on the radio, which added to the vibe. It’s a bit tricky to locate, but it’s definitely worth a visit!

This restaurant may seem like an unassuming little spot, but don't let appearances fool you—the food is outstanding. I visited with two friends thanks to a Groupon we purchased. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, and it was fantastic. The bread was perfectly toasted to a golden brown, and the chicken was shredded rather than ground, which made a significant difference in taste. It was seasoned just right with the perfect mix of ingredients. One of my friends got a side of fries, and there were plenty to share among the three of us. Even at the end of the meal, they remained delicious. The other two dishes we ordered were also excellent.

Restaurant Open has the best breakfast sandwiches! My husband loved their breakfast burritos until he took a bite of my sausage breakfast sandwich on English muffin, now that's his favorite too. They also have great burgers, but parking is tough during the week. We catch them on Sunday mornings. Love this place!

My wife found this place through Groupon and their food was great. It is a tucked away in a business park and I can definitely say that it is a hidden gem of Santa Barbara. We came in for breakfast, which was very delicious and if and when I go back I would definitely give the rest of their menu a try.
