The Picnic Basket - Santa Cruz

Great location just across the street from the start of the Boardwalk at Pacific Ave. Pleasant indoor and outdoor tables. Food is good but not memorable. Reasonable prices, relatively inexpensive for the area. Some interesting beers. Service has always been friendly

Had a meatloaf sandwich to go and it was great. Also came at breakfast and tried a seasonal scone. Finally we also came to try the ice cream and our group really enjoyed the pumpkin doodle.

Who knew vegan could be this tasty. Really enjoyed the roasted beet sandwich and with a great view who wouldn?t consider going vegan

I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch. The chicken pesto baguette was delicious and one of the best I've ever had. The other sandwiches were also tasty. They also offer ice cream. If you're in Santa Cruz, make sure to stop by this restaurant. There's a beach nearby where you can enjoy your meal from the Picnic Basket.

I went to this restaurant to get my wife a triple shot mocha. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating and are situated across the street from the volleyball courts at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The service was average, but I found the prices for my white chocolate coffee to be extremely high, costing over $7 for a cup of coffee that my wife described as mediocre. I will not be returning and do not recommend this place.
