Pub Habeas Coppus Canico - Santa Cruz

Went there with a couple of people. 3 out of 4 meals were really bad (overcooked, bland and uninspired presentation). Definitely a no go if you are looking for good local food.

We had a lovely meal here. One a very well cooked Steak it's one of the best I've ever eaten, my wife had a Scabbard fish which was also so tasty. The waiter was very friendly very attentive whilst we were in the restaurant. The only down side was we'd been out about the soap in the toilet was in short supply when washing our hands. Apart from that a great experience.

We always visit twice during our annual visit to Madeira, and this time was no disappointment. Just as tasty as ever and a friendly singing waiter. The steak on a stone was delicious, as were the homemade chips. My fussy eater daughter ploughed through the spaghetti bolognase. Wonderful!

Great little place love your vino verde. Coming back for a steak.
