Small cute place, everything we tried was very good, ask for the daily specials and try the oysters with ponzu if they have them, try the local white wines they are very good
Well located at the heart of Santa Cruz. Super friendly and profesional service. They advised us on the courses and we went for top quality usuzukuris, Schrimp tempura, makis, etc. everything was delicious and you can see the chef preparing all the dishes right there at the bar. Book in advance, it is not so big.
Comí aquí con un grupo de amigos en julio y elegimos el menú para cuatro personas. Fue delicioso. La comida de gran calidad, la presentación encantadora y la increíble combinación de sabores. El personal de servicio no fue tan acogedor como me hubiera gustado, parecían aburridos y distantes. Pero, la comida llegó rápidamente y todo estaba como se había pedido. Me encantó la comida y quise volver, esta vez con mi novio. En la segunda visita, pedimos el menú para 2 personas, el Atún Mizumi, una botella de espumoso Trevejos y dos postres. Nos atendió Silvia. La calidad de la comida seguía siendo tan buena como recordaba, el servicio esta vez con una sonrisa pero dos cosas que realmente empañaron la experiencia fue que hubo un fallo en la comunicación. Cuando nos entregaron los platos, nadie nos dijo cuál era cuál. Tampoco nos dijeron cuántos platos nos quedaban. Esto nos dejó confundidos. Pero el verdadero problema fue que nuestro Atún Mizumi nunca llegó. En su lugar, nos sirvieron el Usuzukuri de Patudo, un plato similar pero no igual y definitivamente no lo que habíamos pedido. Y la camarera no nos dijo el nombre del plato ni que se trataba del entrante, lo que nos hizo pensar que era parte del menú. De haberlo sabido habría devuelto el plato a la cocina. Se entregó entre los platos que formaban el menú degustación para 2 personas a pesar de que lo pedimos como entrante. Cuando le pregunté a la camarera cuándo recibiríamos el Atún Mizumi y me contestó que 'ya que nos dieron el otro plato, podemos pedir el Atún Mizumi también si queremos '. Había añadido el Usuzukuri al pedido, un plato más caro que el que pedimos y se negó a reconocer su error, y mucho menos a quitar ese plato de la cuenta. Además, toda la experiencia parecía apresurada, ya que las camareras no dejaban de mirar la hora para asegurarse de que los comensales no se pasaban del tiempo asignado. Desgraciadamente, no volveré a este restaurante en el futuro ya que siento que me trataron de forma tan descuidada. No fue divertido gastar 110,50€ en este restaurante. I ate here with a group of friends in July and we chose the menu for four people. It was delicious. Great quality food, lovely presentation and amazing combination of flavours. The waiting staff were not as welcoming as I would have liked, they seemed bored and distant. But, the food arrived quickly and everything was as ordered. I loved the food and wanted to return, this time with my boyfriend. On the second visit, we ordered the menu for 2 people, the Atún Mizumi, a bottle of Trevejos sparkling wine and two desserts. We were attended to by Silvia. The food quality was still as good as I remembered, the service this time with a smile but two things that really tainted the experience was that there was a breakdown in communication. When the plates were delivered, no one told us which was which. They also didn 't say to us how many plates we have left. It left us feeling confused. But the real issue was that our Atún Mizumi never arrived. Instead, we were served the Usuzukuri de Patudo, a similar dish but not the same and definitely not what we had ordered. And the waitress didn 't tell us the name of the dish or that this was the starter which led us to think that this was part of the menu. Had I known I would have returned the plate to the kitchen. This was delivered in between dishes that formed the 2 person tasting menu despite us asking for this as a starter. When I asked the waitress when we will receive the Atún Mizumi and she replied that 'since we got given the other dish, we can order the Atún Mizumi as well if we wanted. '. She had added the Usuzukuri to the order, a more expensive dish than the one we ordered and refused to acknowledge her mistake, let alone take that dish off the bill. On top of this, the whole experience felt rushed as the waitresses kept looking at the time to make sure the diners don 't pass their allocated time. Unfortunately, I won 't return to this restaurant in the future as I feel that I was treated so carelessly. It was not fun spending 110,50€ in this restaurant.
No conocía este restaurante y prometo volver. Comida excelente y muy cuidada (el corte del sashimi era impresionante), un local muy agradable y muy buen servicio. Me recordó, de alguna forma, al desaparecido Kamakura del llorado Dani Sosa, en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. No es barato, pero no importa: vale la pena de largo. Me acordaré mucho más de la comida que de la factura. I didn't know this restaurant, but I promise to come back. Excellent food (the sashimi cut is outstanding), a very nice local and very good service. It brought me back memories of the now defuncted Kamakura, in Gran Canaria. It's not cheap, but never mind: it's worth the visit by far and wide. I'll remember the food, not the bill.
