El Parasol - Santa Fe

A good place to stop in for lunch. Service is always good and fast and food is consistent. A little off of the beaten path but still gets busy. Outdoor seating is nice as well. Homemade chips and salsa are tasty too.

I have always enjoyed El Parasol........except this time. I ordered a favorite, Steak Burrito expecting the same delicious meal I ate in the past. It was soupy and impossible to eat by hand. There were a few small pieces of meat in the runny beans. I looked for a plastic spoon in the area where straws, napkins, and condiments are kept. There were no spoons or forks to be found. There was a long line of customers waiting to order from one of the two employees behind plexiglass so I was hesitant to ask one of them for an eating utensil. I did my best to eat my meal while it oozed out of the limp, white, mass-produced tortilla. The sound made by the small speaker attached to the customer side of the plexiglass made me feel like I was at a drive-up window while trying to enjoy my lunch. I will not return and I no longer recommend El Parasol.

We stopped in because of reviews by others and we were not disappointed. The order taker was friendly and helpful. There were 4 of us and we ordered up a mess of chicken, shredded beef and ground beef tacos. Starting off with fresh,warm chips and both red and green Salsa, the meal had a great start. The tacos came out in short order. They were crisp and fresh. El Parasol is building their business on great food. The ambience is simple, clean and unpretentious. We all were very satisfied with the meal and would recommend it to anyone.

I've always loved El Parasol. They have some of the best green chile in town with absolutely no sign of flour in it. The food is always fresh and really good, and so is the service, although it's a bit lacking at the other location with one guy bordering on rude, and a lady who seems forever grouchy

Food was fantastic. Tacos and tamales were out if this workd good! We have sampled a few local restaurants but this is as good as it gets if you want casual local fare.
