Just had the opportunity to eat here last night, and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the service. I love Italy, if not for any other reason than the fact that Italians are so genuinely friendly and personable. This was realized, yet again, last night by some of the wait staff. The host for the evening, made a joke at first when we arrived about our reservation, and then quickly thereafter escorted us to our table. Later, after we'd ordered our drinks, someone at our table was talking about the quality of the beer, when he the host overheard, and chimed into the conversation to agree with us. The only problem with going here and if you think about it, it means it's a good place was that we were booted out, approximately an hour after we'd finished our meal and coffee, since they needed the table for other patrons. This, if it's the worst thing I can say about the place, was not so bad. Onto the food: Delicious! Truth be told, I can be a picky eater at times, so when I looked first at the pasta and second course dishes, I wasn't interested in most of what they had. I'm not a fan of pumpkin, and they offered gnocchi with pumpkin sauce; I'm not a fan of cheeses either (I know, I'm in the wrong country), and they had specialty pasta with homemade cheeses. I decided to take a look at the pizza menu. Mamma Mia! An entire menu dedicated solely to pizza and beers. Jackpot! The waitress came over twice, both only in intervals of thirty seconds, and after everyone at the table had decided very quickly, I picked one hastily without really looking at it. I ordered funghi porcini porcini mushrooms, prosciutto cruddo raw prosciutto ham, and some other type of cheese. When it arrived, I could smell only the cheese and I was worried. However, aside from the fact that it was a parmesan type of cheese, which I hate (I've been told I'm crazy, I am seeking help), the pizza was phenomenal! In the 10 months that I've been in the Veneto Trentino regions, this was the best prepared pizza I've had thusfar. I can't say that it was the most delicious because I'm a sucker for greasy take away but it was certainly the best crust I've ever had in Italy! And I've been to many, many, many pizzerias, take aways and restaurants over the two years I've been in Italy. All their food is biological, and prepared with a lot of care and attention. The coffee was also very good, and I felt more like I was at someone's home with the coziness of the place, but was still left feeling chic because of the professional attire the wait staff had, along with the lightening and cleanliness of the restaurant itself. With a wood stove just a few feet from our table, the aroma of pizza, good conversation and warmth, in every sense of the word, filled the restaurant from the moment we walked in. For better or for worse, it's a very small place. Hidden away from the rest of the country and the chain restaurants you would find in Venice or Rome. This is an excellent establishment. The prices were a tiny bit higher than average, but the food is carefully selected, and considering the slightly nicer mode of the establishment, I can understand why. My pizza was over 9 euro whereas some of the other dishes on the menu were between 13 25. I saw children and adults of all ages, so it's a family friendly place, but also ideal for couples who are looking for a nice evening out. Reservations required, and if you're looking for them on Trip Advisor, I noticed they are under the city Belluno, and not Santa Giustina, which is where the restaurant actually is. I wanted to write a review after eating, and upon exiting the place, I noticed they had a Trip Advisor sticker in the window! Once again, I highly recommend this place, especially to those visiting the Belluno area and would like something that tourists really don't know about, but rather that the locals rave about. Be advised though, if you don't live in the area, you will need a car to get there! Buses are terrible at night, and depending where you are coming from/going back to, there probably aren't even any buses. Great atmosphere; Just busy enough to make it lively, but not so loud that you can't have a conversation at a normal tone. Great food, great service, great coffee to boot! Can't go wrong!
We didn't eat here since we didn't really have a nice experience regarding the service. Better luck next time I guess.
The restaurant is not a restaurant any more, they make pizza only. It is a really good pizza, but.... what a pity. It used to be one of my favorite restaurant. Crisis's effect. I hope it will survive.
I often enjoy a pizza at pizzeria all 'angelo , arguably one of the best in Belluno area. Pizza is great, and I also highly appreciate the variety and creativity of the menu, together with a frequently updated selection of beers. Price is higher than average, but definitely proportional to the quality of the ingredients and the superb service.
