The filet mignon was not as good as I expected. The other dishes we ordered were fine, but the prices were quite high. It's definitely an expensive place. On the bright side, the weather was lovely.

Monsieur Marcel's is an excellent place for affordable French cuisine on the Third Street Promenade. It’s a lively spot for dinner and perfect for people-watching in downtown Santa Monica. The staff is polite and professional, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that nearly everyone who served us spoke French natively. My favorite dish? Definitely the escargots with olive oil and basil. Additionally, each table is served a complimentary basket of bread with butter.
