Írjon visszajelzéstThe fish and chips were alright, although the fish could have been crispier. As for the award-winning pie, it didn't meet expectations; I ended up eating half and throwing the rest of the apple pie away.
The food is still quite good, but the prices have increased significantly. I understand that costs have risen overall, but it's reached a level where getting fish and chips here no longer feels worth it. The prices are simply too high, and I'd prefer to make my own at home. It's unfortunate, as there aren't many other decent fish and chip spots nearby. I’ve been a loyal patron of Betty’s for 38 years. If you’re not concerned about the cost, it’s still a great choice.
Three of us dined at this restaurant and ordered two fish and chips, along with a crab salad. I found the prices to be outrageous, particularly the salad, which cost $25 for what seemed like just a tiny ounce of crab (especially since crab was only $2.99 per pound at that time). Both fish and chips came with undercooked batter, and we were informed that there was no cocktail sauce available (I assume this was just a one-time issue). I guess we’ll be driving an extra 20 minutes back to the Boathouse next time.
We had the mozzarella sticks and 5 piece fish and chips plate. Plenty of food for two adults and hungry toddler. Highly recommend visiting. The staff was very friendly and patient with our kid, which was very appreciated.
Me wifemate surpised me a take-home fish and chip dinner tonight. I have always loved Betty's F&C but have not been since the Covid event (not been much of anywhere) and I sure have.missed the place and the food. BEST FISH AND CHIPS I have found anywhere, and I have sought out that meal up and down the state, and beyond. Gotta get back up there in person, and soon!
