I missed breakfast at my hotel so I went across the street to this little place. Great atmosphere, the food was very good, great selections. I had Huevos Rancheros. I told my waitress, Jennifer, it was my birthday. Then after I was done eating she surprised me with a piece of peach pie with a candle in it. The other waitress told me Happy Birthday also as she went by. Jennifer hugged me on the way out and said Happy birthday again. The lady that checked me out talked with me and wished me safe travels. This place is a great little restaurant.

We ate here for lunch. I'm glad we passed i-40 going east. It's just odd i-40 on the south side of old route 66. It's very close to the blue hole. My wife had the patty melt it was on Rye Bread, a thin hamburger pattie, but excellent flavor. I had the chili rellanos plate 2, which was almost more than I could eat. Egg battered not really crispy but still great lots of cheese. I had the green chili sauce on top, very good, not spicey. The beans were very good, not refried . The rice reminded my wife of her grandmother's Mexican rice. She was very happy. Chips and salsa were fresh. I loved the chunky salsa. We will be back.
