Beautiful place and beautiful people to enjoy a nice drink or taste good cakes and savoury snacks...

We loved this cafe! It’s small inside, but there is outside seating. Great range of fresh pastries- you are out of luck if you are vegan as there is very little choice- sorbets?! For everyone else there’s a choice of sweet and savoury of varying sizes at excellent prices. Try the cafe latte, it’s a creamy coffee semifreddo- we had one nearly every day! Most staff do not speak English but they are really helpful and the other diners will step in to help if necessary. There are a couple who do speak English but as it’s shift work they may not be there.

Here in the midst of this bustling mountain market town we found Baba pasticceria jumping with customers. The wonderfully jolly and endlessly good-humoured women running it are going at full speed and high efficiency, the delectable pastries are made on site (you can see trays coming in and out of the oven, choux buns being filled with confectioner's custard, etc) through a glass window, there are book cases with titles ranging from philosophy and psychology to literature, and Parisian belle epoque print on the walls. You feel welcomed to hang around and read, chat and drink espresso or green tea from china tea cups. Delightful.

Great pastry, great coffee. all in a very cozy lease. Congratulations.
