This small, non-describing café is located far from the upscale touristic trappings of the Miraflores region is quite the jewel in the rough. In fact, most tourists would find themselves hard forced to visit the Lince district of Peru if they do not live family there (as I do). While on the surface that sounds like a beginning of a negative review, that is far from the case here. Peru's neighborhoods really show the heart of his citizens. And Lince, like many middle incomes, working class areas, is filled with people who are proud of their country and their work. And this is really represented in the food and coffee shops in this area. Cafe Tostado Risso, is really a jewel that can only be found in coffee producing areas such as Peru. Fresh roasted beans are pressed directly in front of you. You can even buy roasted beans with the kilo at incredibly low prices. The coffee itself is strong and tasteful but smooth. Similar to Peruvian beans, you would buy expensive specialized coffee bones around the world. You must have a working knowledge about Spanish as most of their customers are locals. Still, for the adventurous, its beautiful AM or PM junction on the way to other sights around the citadel. No places as its strictly one step in step from kind of space... but your palate will definitely thank you.
