Nice locals place that I don’t frequent often since my last visit a year ago I learned they were charging a cc fee. To add insult, now there is a “Dual pricing” fee??? ?. I won’t be back. Servers tip was lower as a result. One star for good food that’s nothing special. I certainly will no longer return and encourage locals to support consumer friendly establishments. Also the online menu prices didn’t match the menu price in the restaurant at least on the burger I ordered. Sorry JR’s but I’ll stick to chain restaurants.Update…Please watch your bill if you are leaving a tip via the method of a card. I just disputed the total charge with my credit card company as the server likely intended to try and get more money without me noticing. Fortunately I snapped a picture of both receipt copies and will receive credit from the credit card company. This didn’t happen by accident. I removed one star for the service.

We stopped in for a light lunch. We were greeted warmly and quickly had our seats and began checking things out. Waitress was on top of things. We placed our order, enjoyed our wonderful lunch and the atmosphere.

JR’s Is a unique little gem. The service is friendly and prompt. And the Ropa Vieja is out of this world!

Totally disappointed in to go order.Grilled catfish sandwich with a handful of chips and about a tablespoon of salsa for a side. $18.95 small filet.Husband ordered fried catfish dinner with fries and slaw. Handful of fries and small filet. Also $18.95!This site needs to update prices.Sandwich listed at $10.95 and dinner at $13.95.Totally disgusted.
