Sunnyside Cafe - Sarasota

Not only the best place for Hungarian food, but great service, great menu......another great local restaurant !!!

We have made a point of coming here more than once during our bi-annual visits. Osso Bucco with cheese risotto for lunch? Are you kidding me? Awesome! Yesterday was shrimp scampi risotto! What a find in Sarasota now knowing there is a world class chef serving affordable eats that rival any restaurant in the city. We promote this spot from our restaurant in Northern WI and everyone we send here come back with glowing reviews.

Was feeling adventurous so we tried a new place for breakfast. After glancing over the menu we realized it wasn't your standard American breakfast menu. Not gonna lie, at first we were kinda weary about staying but we are so glad we did. All the food was basically farm to table, orange juice was fresh squeezed, eggs were fresh, and the potato cakes were delicious(I never had one before). The service was great we had several people check on us throughout our meal. From the outside the place may not look like much but the inside feels very warming and inviting, very clean and nice ambiance. Before we left we had the waitress help us pronounce some Hungarian word on the menu since my husband and I had a bet on how to pronounce them. lol And she had no problem helping and was a good sport. Overall it was a great experience and we will def be back.

The vegan chickpea pancakes were AMAZING!!! The staff was so sweet and helpful too. Great place!

I had breakfast and it was excellent! The service was great and the food was so good! The lobster roll sounds awesome!
