La Lanterna - SARTEANO

The clams were the best dish. I had mine with mussels which was also good. Wine selection a bit disappointing. Various dishes starters and mains came at different times.

The portions are generous and the views from the restaurant are amazing. Don’t expect haute cuisine but authentic Tuscan food.

We found the restaurant here quite strange. Maybe it makes sense if you are dining here when staying at the hotel, but we found it awkward due to: restaurant not ready despite us arriving at the time of our reservation; decor and vibe being stuck in the 1980s; almost cafeteria-like; very stubborn about only communicating in fluent Italian despite our best efforts. Also the food was not special, compared to other restaurants we dined at in Sarteano/Pienza/Montepulciano. Sorry but would not recommend.

Historical Piedmontese restaurant, present in this place from the kitchen is simple and appetizing (very good starters.) the owner is very kind and puts you immediately at ease.

Very particular. very nice. a tavern of old quality great price. and then there is the kitchen on sight maybe very exposed. to discover. in itself is not bad.
