Butler - Saugatuck

Stopd by The Butler after our original reservation below, the road was broken down due to the restaurant filling capacity. The food was good! Everything was generally underseasoned, but it was still good. The shrimp basket was really great, the shrimps are huge, well cooked, and very crispy. The frits and onion rings were a big hit at the table. The crab filled mushrooms were delicious! The mushrooms were solid and fresh. The spinach and artichoke dip was cheesy and went well with the toast points.

Dinner on a very rainy Friday night. View was wonderful. Had the crab filled mushroom appetizer. Load the crab, but not seasoned enough. It needed some kind of acid like lemon to get it over the usual. Husband rarely ordered a burger medium. Perfect. He said a lot of taste in beef. Was happy with it. He's not a fan of coated frits that served them. I had the crab filled chicken with potatoes and asparagus. Big part. I found the potatoes a bit of mix and extremely dry. The chicken was moist and had a lot of crab, but again, not very well seasoned in my opinion. The asparagus was delicious. The waitress was just thrilled. We were not offered dessert menu and got the bill, but my husband asked what they had available. After we saw the list, we paid the bill. It was a pleasant enough experience. Nothing.

Beautiful, comfortable location with friendly, smiling staff. Eating was decent, would definitely try again. The building was under construction when we left, but nothing was uncomfortable or unusual.

Great food, friendly staff. Key Limecake was amazing. so we are the crab filled mushrooms and the Ahi tuna nachos. My husband said his Burger horse was good.

The Butler potatoes and the waffle fries are great and absolutely worth trying. My Peppercorn Horseradish Burger had a great seasoning/sauce and was almost a home run. We did ask for our burgers to be cooked well but maybe should have clarified that we didn't want them charred all the way through. The views are awesome and we were thankful for the heat scenery as we waited and ate.
