Everything they have in their case is just wonderful, and although they're in the middle of Saugerties village, there's lots of free parking in the lot right there. Always friendly staff, worth the trip from anywhere!
Excellent chocolate, great staff, great store, and so easy to find out about the flavors thanks to the app. Will be back to try more flavors.
This is a wonderful, locally owned chocolate shop that's been around for decades. Charming interior with a really nice selection of dark/milk chocolate interesting concoctions (try the lavender variety and very friendly staff. There is something here for everyone; including, vegan and nut free options. Great place for a unique gift as well; they had chocolate bunnies dogs on display when I stopped in. They're right around the corner from an amazing coffee shop; how convenient :
This is my favorite family's favorite chocolate shop ANYWHERE. We always make a special stop when we're travelling nearby. They make a special point of having tons and tons of vegan, dairy, and gluten-free options. It's amazing to be able to enjoy sweets with food allergies and it's such a joy when the chocolate is this good. Everyone always seems to leave this shop beaming and I'm not at all surprised!
Part I: We 've been loyal fans of Lucky for the last 10 years when it came to the scene. Even when owner- Rae started out on Rt 212, it was our daily fix especially since that side of Saugerties is a skip and a hop from Woodstock. Going back several years however during one of our Woodstock mini vacays, we found out her Rt 212 location was closed. What saved us and made us return to her brand years later, was a poster on the door letting folks know about the new move- deep in Saugerties. Thank you ****!!! Part II: From close-to-Woodstock to this side of Saugerties, it 's about a 15-20 minute drive. We 'd always made it a point to leave Woodstock (and the nearby area), head slightly north to Saugerties, then be on our merry way up home with our box of Chocolates. Location here (on the main avenue) was excellent. Owner Rae offered her signature Chocolate creations- plus quirky 1950 's trinkets and stuff under one roof. I always thought her Chocolates were up there in price, but I always said, f*ck it...her Chocolates are worth it . Part III: Still in Saugerties and on Partition Street, Lucky is currently located on a side street steps away from the main strip. Cute porch leads you to Chocolate Heaven and smells fantastic. Compact setup in the front with a glass encased shelf with lots of Bonbons of all types. There 's a colorful contrast between the upbeat colors and Chocolates that are showcased- which I thought was cute. In my recent trip, I ended up leaving with an assorted box of 12 that were all delicious! Listen...There 's no shortage of treats at Lucky and I love that Saugerties offers something special like very good and organic Chocolates. Rae is a pioneer in the Chocolate world and Saugerties wouldn 't be the same without it up here as she 's committed to the craft. I heard though- that Rae purchased the entire building where they 're now located- and 2 sisters will carry on Lucky 's legacy. Right on......I 'll still support!
