Although quaint and a bit rustic with the western theme, this family owned restaurant definitely, by far, has the best ribs, chicken and fish dishes we've ever had! The food is plentiful and very fairly priced. The draft is cold and fresh. The staff and the owners are so polite and remember you every time! It is definitely worth the drive just on the outskirts of town...it's fun, relaxing, clean and just an over all pleasant place to have an enjoyable dining experience! It's probably best to call ahead especially on weekends and special days, as there is limited seating, but no matter what, these people know how to run a top-notch restaurant! Enjoy!
Four of us went this past Friday for fish and the place was quite busy. We were seated promptly and a friendly and effective server was quick to take care of us.We went for fish thus we did not look at the menu, we each ordered drinks which came with a warm small loaf of bread and had a choice of sea bass, trout and or white fish for our fish fry.We ordered all you can eat white fish which comes with a choice of potatoes , beans and cole slaw...we enjoyed the platter and can't give it a high mark as I found the fish a bit dry and overcooked and the fries were soggy. However overall I would go back for their fish fry as the atmosphere is nice, good service and the food is better than most other fish fry's we have been to in town and here one gets good value.
Visited here while waiting for my flight. Clean enough, but the food is pretty sad. I had the 1/4 chicken dinner. It was pretty rubbery, pretty sure Kraft BBQ sauce was dumped on it, boiled carrots and green beans. I had asked to sub my potatoes with extra veggies and was told it would be an extra charge for it. They brought a loaf of bread that was dried out, and the waitresses were more interested in talking to each other then tending to customers. I travel often to the Soo, but won't return the this place.
I'd like to tell you this is the best place I've ever eaten.....I won't but what I will say is I ALWAYS get a good meal at a fair price. We happen to live in this area and when we are looking for that "old stand by" this is it. Friendly, fast service and a consistent high level of good food.
Not a bad restaurant- except for the food, location and service. I had the chicken wings-edible, but not notable. Server was surly. If you do not have a reason to go here-DON'T. Generally good parking and lots of it. That may be your first hint.
