Ordered a medium fried chicken with rice and peas and a small goat curry with rice and peas. The fried chicken was not crispy by the time we were eating it (20 mins later and the ratio of meat to rice was disproportionate not enough meat. Chicken was tender and had good flavour that wasnt overly salty. The rice and peas were just ok. The small goat curry portion was more than enough for me flavour was good and the goat was very tender. It had quite a lot of bones though. One of the staff members wasny wearing a mask not sure what his role was at the restaurant (hopefully not the cook! . Salad was unremarkable.
The chicken was delicious and full of flavor! It was tender and fully satisfied my craving for some tasty jerk chicken. I only wish the oxtail gravy had been added as we had asked. However, overall, this restaurant offers high-quality, fresh food with aromatic jerk chicken.
This restaurant is a fantastic spot for a quick and delicious lunch in the area. Mike and Latoya are experts at what they do. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual with a lot of charm. It's a definite must-try! The pan roasted Jerk chicken with plantain and festival is absolutely delicious and prepared perfectly.
I traveled all the way from the west end to Kitchen King to get some food for my friend and me. When we arrived at my friend's house and were about to eat the first spoonful of rice and peas, we both noticed that it tasted off. I asked my friend to taste it as well, and she agreed that it was sour. Additionally, the Jerk Chicken was dry and the Oxtail was tough. Although the food looked very appetizing, it did not taste as good as it looked.
