Ratsch'n Biergarten - Schliersee

Nice informal restaurant with seating inside and out. A little out of the way so you need to know it's there.Very friendly owner who is also possibly the chef. Informal decor in a Holywood legends style, very pleasant environment.I had the tenderloin of beef with creamy pepper sauce. I have to confess it was the best meal I have eaten all week and the best steak in peppercorn sauce thar I can remember eating. My wife had beef with onion and mustard gravy and she was equally impressed.Definite thumbs up from me. Highly recommended.

After 20+hours of traveling we walked to Ratsch'n on recommendation from a local and were delighted. Sunday in Schliersee is quiet with most shops and businesses closed but most restaurants and pubs were open. The location has a great view over the pastures and township from the beer garden and the owner is very welcoming and cheerful. The menu is in German only but we were able to order with a little help. The kitchen uses fresh ingredients and local produce to serve delicious meals of generous proportions. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service and judging from the amount of locals having lunch and snacks, other people thought the same. Recommended!!

This resraurant has a lovely beer garden and is about one km from the centre of Schliersee, overlooking wide open fields.The food is very good with large servings at a very reasonable price. Most pork dishes were between €10 and €13 while the beef dishes were slightly higher. They have menus in English.Mine host was very affable and spoke enough English to have a good conversation.Our first visit was so enjoyable that we returned for a second meal and had it not been closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, we would have gone a third time.

We were told that this was a good place to eat 3 years ago. We went down to it. Saw an amazing Bavarian sunset as I remember. But the place was closed.We return 3 years on and it is closed again!! What more can you say?

We had this problem 3 years ago. We went for a meal last night and the whole place was shut. Looked pretty permanent to me. Very tee'd off at a wasted journey.
