Arizona Culinary Institute - Scottsdale

This review serves for lunch in the dining room and not for the culinary school. Our four-member party arrived today on time to our 11:30 reservation, was immediately greeted, registered, provided a short introduction/explanation and brought to our table in the dining room. First impressions are powerful and our first impression was that we have made a wise decision here. It got better from there. The student dining room (under strict supervision by senior instructors) is operated as a 5-star restaurant. Orders are served at once by a group of student servers. The presentation is impressive. Menu selections are wide and diverse. Taste, quality, portion sizes are all perfect. Non-alcoholic as well as wine and spirits are available and well below the market price. Lunch costs (very reasonable) cover an appetizer plus entree. Free add-ons are equipped with a decadent dessert. The palate-cleaning frozen Lutscher intermezzo between the courses was an unexpected treat that is found today in a few high-end restaurants (picture attached). Our student waiting staff is not there to be trained as waiting staff, but rather culinary professionals. But they are taught the business from scratch and a stint for a short time that the client serves. I guess the dining room has 10 tables and that there were about 16-20 cartridges at our seats, making the experience intimate and semi-private. Three in our party had escaped the Mahi and one had the pork pliers. We had another appetizer. We will return and bring new friends with us to share the experience. I fixed a boatload of photos.

My friends and I had lunch on Wednesday and loved it every minute. Not only was the staff attentive and knowledgeable when asked questions they were going overboard to make our experience special. Abril our server was a peach and deserves praise. We will be back many times and will highly recommend you. Oh, the food was delicious. Lol

I enjoy several meals in this institute. The students are a pleasure to speak. Most are polite and attentive. The quality of food is usually quite good. On rare occasions very few dishes missed the brand. The concept of the Prix-fix is well applicable here. You pay a reasonable price for choice of appetizers, a main dish (typically a selection of chicken, fish or beef), and a dessert. Also included are an amuse beech in front of the appetizer, a portion of bread, and a palate cleaner in front of the main dish. Reservation is required. I will return to this institute whenever I can.

Fantastic!!! The whole experience was phenomenal! I took a group of students for a tour and a chic lunch. The staff of the Culinary Institute were so gracious and did a wonderful job to show us and answer the questions of the students. Lunch was of course incredible!!!

This was our first visit and it won't be our last. The service by the students was very professional, they were attentive and polite. They were very knowledgeable about everything. The food was delicious, served in a very appealing way. It was as awesome experience. I recommend it to everyone.
