They did not have too much donut favors but I feel like they are making the best donuts so far, out of all the places I went to. I got the lemon curd one; I really love it but it's too sour and tart for me so I gave it to my fiancé and I got his berry ones. We both like the berry ones but lemon one is also good just too sour for me. They also have coffee, we got matcha latte and americano. I love that they make my matcha latte non sweet, Starbucks won't let me do that. Didn't try the coffee but seems very hot and it's good for winter.
The coffee at this place is stunningly beautiful, but unfortunately, the taste leaves much to be desired. I would suggest they consider using a different coffee bean for a better flavor. I also tried the coconut donuts, but the dough was salty and not fresh.
Right from the display case, the donuts looked deflated, uneven, and just plain sad. I held onto the hope that they would taste better than they appeared, but I was sadly mistaken. They tasted even worse than they looked. The donuts weren't fluffy at all; they felt just as deflated as they appeared. The sugar coating seemed nonexistent, and the donuts tasted overly fried and greasy. All I could really taste was oil. The filling was probably the only redeeming quality of the donut. It's clear that General Porpoise uses quality ingredients for their jam, with real fruit chunks that taste authentic. But personally, I don’t eat a donut just for the filling. I have no intention of returning, and I sincerely hope no one ever brings me a donut from this place. I won’t eat it. Please don't make me waste food again.
This charming little business has a delightful atmosphere and is exceptionally clean. We found street parking available on a weekday, which was convenient. I took my two young kids there for a treat, but they both had a little meltdown and accidentally broke a glass. I felt somewhat embarrassed since it seemed like such a trendy spot that might not typically cater to children, but the staff were incredibly friendly and reassured me that accidents happen all the time. That really meant a lot to me as a mom trying to enjoy fun outings with my little ones. Thank you for your kindness! We look forward to visiting again the next time we’re in Seattle. We often go to the train station for family outings, and this is a perfect place to stop before or after our adventures.
Home of the $5 donut. They are delicious, be not confused on that.Light, fluffy brioche clouds filled with small batch fillings.Lemon curdBavarian creamChocolate marshmallowAnd A wide variety of fruit jamsThey are all delicious, this isn't a go to spot for a mixed dozen to satisfy a crowd, between the price point and the fact that they only Bismark style pastries.
