Zazu Kitchen Farm - Sebastopol

I opted for the "Pig Dog," which came resting on a bed of arugula and served on a perfectly roasted pretzel bun adorned with visible grill marks. It was topped with red paprika and mayonnaise, and the spicy kick of the hot sauce was refreshingly different from the standard options I've encountered elsewhere—such a delicious combination! But the star of the show was the chicharrón. Hands down, it was the best chicharrón I've ever tasted. Served alongside the hot dog and dusted with a savory and spicy powder, it lacked that overpowering vinegar flavor that often ruins chicharrón, making it just perfect. Plus, it didn't leave a greasy residue on my fingers. I'm thrilled they sell it in bags to take home! My friend ordered a burger, which also came with a side of chicharrón, and he loved it as well. Overall, it was an excellent meal, and I can't wait to return. They really know how to serve bacon, chicharrón, and farm-fresh eggs!

This restaurant was both intriguing and unusual. I appreciate that everything is fresh and locally sourced, but I found the menu a bit challenging to navigate. Fortunately, our waitress took the time to explain everything to us. Since it was my birthday, I was treated to a special bacon dish that was absolutely to die for. I also enjoyed bacon-flavored caramel popcorn, which was delightful. To top it all off, I had homemade vanilla gelato that was simply delicious. I'd recommend thoroughly reviewing the menu before you sit down. They have an amazing burger, but I found the fried chicken to be a bit lacking.

Here’s my standard for rating restaurants: If you’re not a fan of this place, feel free to skip my reviews. The freshness here is incredible, straight from the farm to your plate. You can truly taste the love in every bite of each dish. And if there's ever an option for bacon, don’t hesitate to include it! The menu features creative and delicious seasonal dishes, from the bar to desserts and everything in between. I recommend coming with a group of 8-10 people to enjoy a family-style meal, so you can sample everything. Bring your mom—I did!

Great open ambiance, dish presentation and service. We got the barracho which was a unique take on what could be typical Mexican fare.
