Mestizo Mexican Family - Sedro-Woolley

I've eaten twice at Don Rafa since it changed from Mestezos. I have to say it's an enormous improvement. This is my favorite Mexican cuisine in the area. The staff was friendly and fast. Prices are better than most other places. The sections are high. I can't even finish the smaller combos. They are also great to offer many extras. A good amount of chips and salsa. Guacamole and acid cream were included without demand. I think it's best to compare it to Mexico Cafe. Mexico Café has some tasty food, but is also much more expensive, so Don Rafa's is much better for the dollar. It's also very close to where I live.

Norma is terrific. Food is massive portions. FRESH. Well seasoned. I got shredded beef taco salad. Husband got chile verde burrito. Very, very good.

Love this place! Service is always fantastic and the food is delicious! The drinks are the bomb! Especially the BlackBerry margarita. I always try something new when I'm there.

My family and I have gone there a few times and always love the food and portion sizes are very generous. I am personally a huge fan of the wet burrito. The chips come with a slightly spicy salsa that is delicious as well as pico de gallo, which is nice getting both as an option. The drinks are very good and are also generous in size, even compared to a lot of other Mexican restaurants in town. The last time my sister and I went we decided to order the appetizer sampler before we ate and after we were done with the chips and appetizer we couldn't even eat our food, we got it to go.

The service here is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The portion sizes are massive, including the drinks! The margaritas are fantastic—no overly sweet versions like you find in many other places. They offer excellent vegetarian and vegan options, with plenty to choose from and a wide variety of vegetables. Before your meal, they serve hot, fresh tortilla chips and salsa, and they are quite generous with them—we had to force ourselves to stop eating more!
