An amazing place. Great food, beautiful location, a place with history. We sat by the window overlooking the aqueduct. The owner performed an interesting ceremony before cutting the pork. Definitely an experience!
Dining here is a bit chaotic. You go to the upstairs check in, and whether or not you have reservations, you just put your name down and hope to get seated. It probably only took 10 minutes to get a table, but it wasn't without stress. We sat down in one of their many historic rooms, which was very interesting, but squished between other larger parties. The pig itself is fantastic, and delicious, though I might argue the suckling pork in Portugal was a tad better. But the chaotic environment didn't lend itself to easy eating, and we made the trek from Madrid essentially to eat at this historic restaurant. However, the famous owner came out, had a big speech while serving whole pigs to the big party next to us, and smashed a plate on the ground so we got a show with our meal!

Sin duda, si hay un restaurante clásico en Segovia, es el Meson Casa Cándido, es un excelente lugar para disfrutar de una buena comida muy clásica, y como opción fuerte el cochinillo Sin duda, merece la pena venir a comer a este restaurante
