The day we went the entrees were octopus and duck, neither of which I eat, but when I told the waiter, he offered to make me lamb chops. Very accommodating. It is part of the lovely little Museum of Bread in the village of Seia in the Serra de Estrella.
Immaculate table service. Food was excellent. Price was moderate. Buffet was very clean with a large assortment of foods. Main meal was generous. Will definitely return.
Museu do pao is an experience. When you enter you know you are in for a treat. The restaurant does gastronomic research and each time you go there you get something new. The menu includes a brutal buffet of traditional portuguese entries and desserts plus two main courses delivered to you at the table. It may seem a steep price but trust me you get your moneys worth. Go there, enjoy the other stuff it has to offer and eat well. :
Nice place to visit with the family. Fun workshop with dough for kids. Explain all processes of making bread. Beautiful Christmas decor. Entrance: adults 7,5€, kids 4€ Have a restaurant- buffet 30€ per person. Have a gift shop with local products and fresh made bread (highly recommend) In my opinion the price is a little bit high for what they offer. Would be nice to offer for free some breach for degustation.
I didn't expect such a well organized museum. It's worth visiting with children. At the end there is a surprise for them which is to make some bread.
