The hotel is located in the oldest part of the city le mont drejet is possibly the most popular bar in semur. sometimes they need luck to get one of the foreign tables, but the inner is quite spacious. we only had a beer and one. externally secured, it was a pleasant place to sit for a spell and enjoy the wonderfully quiet ambiente of this charming little town. the beer were nowhere as good as chez quentin, just to the corner I think is the best pub in the city.
After the walk through the historic part of the city, after we needed a quick break down the river and along the city walls. it was a sunny day and this place here, in the heart of the city, had some nice spots to sit outside....Have them a koks, a water, a tarte tatin and two draws ice. the tar also came with a very good egg. very fair. the tar was obviously not freshened (who does in this short time) and nothing too exciting. but both the ice with the tarte and my blades were all delicious. very rich, creamy and tasteful. with the beautiful tables outside to watch the world, go with safety a good option for a quick break. at least for drinks and ice.
We stopped at Le Mont for a quick lunch in the outdoor tables after seeing all the locals enjoying a day out. Good English speaking service by the father, mother and daughter team. The food was average, but the local beer and wine tasted good....We stopped in Semur-en-anxois to see the village and experience the Sunday Market day while on our way to Beaune.
Good ice cream, a good step during the city's visit. artisanal beer is also to taste.
