Írjon visszajelzéstDonkotsu ramen was pretty fine. But there were some secret code which I don't understand. Someone who visits for the first time like me, has no way to know what those secret codes are. But there was no explanation from staffs.
Great ramen dish, one of the best I've ever had in Sendai. The service is friendly. You have an English translation of the menu. Finding the entrance is hard, it is from behind, there are small characters “BIG” following. Great place for lunch. And when you finish the bowl, you will get an additional page on your next visit
The portions are huge! Half the size I got was the size of a normal bowl of ruts. The broth was rich and tasty. The noodles were cooked for perfection. The meat was tender and juicy. Probably the best rams I've ever had. Will definitely go back in the future!
With a name like Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen BIG, you’d better hope they deliver on their big size. And they do. If you can find this tiny shop in a side alley in Sendai, Miyagi, they will serve up decently big “Yokohama Tonkotsu Ramen,” aka Ie-kei for you. I ordered the Special Topping Large Size for 1180¥ and requested normal for noodle hardness, oil, and flavor. The chashu was quite thick, so you can softly pull it apart the meat, though it slightly more fatty than well-braised. The soup is quite good, with some flavor of pork and saltiness of soy sauce, but it isn’t quite “ie-kei,” as it lacks the richness of true Yokohama. However, you can choose to add spice, garlic, etc to taste if you need that extra kick. Next time, I’d definitely order the extra chashu version at the same price instead of having the other toppings.
I went to this place at the end of 2019 when I visited Sendai (I love this city, definitely back here after this COVID-19 problem so that things could have changed. At first I really like the ramens the court I chose (half by chance as I only know Hiragana katakana (and some kind of kindergarten grammar). So my wife chose the same dish and we loved it. And yes, we have tried some of the more popular (based on the lists you can find on the Internet, these are Rammen restaurants around Sendai and Sapporo. I know it's personal preference, but this facility is one of the top races we've ever tried. For the owner, a clearer or more visible banner (at least for non-Japanese tourists) could help. We almost missed this place because the shield was only a small wooden board on the side of the main road near the stairs. Then again we found this place by chance after searching in Google Maps for the nearby Ramen restaurant. We tried to eat in another Ramen-Russaurat near, but the queues were so long, so we gave up and chose this place instead (and we were glad that we did it
