Their menu features house-made meals and bakery items, using many organic ingredients. At present, the menu is quite limited (perhaps due to covid? , since there are only 2 dishes. They have rather unconventional dishes. Their signature dish, for instance, is a Kimbap roll filled with pink-colored quinoa (instead of rice , smoked tofu and hummus. Prices are rather high, definitively above average. The restaurant is located inside a small alley, but is in itself rather spacious. There is seating indoors and outdoors.
Menu has only 2 dishes when we visited so we got both. Lasagna was good. Felt like a very healthy meal with a mix of veggies snuck inside. Kimbap was same healthy focus with quinoa used instead of rice... i prefer rice. Portions were large so we left stuffed, which is good because menu prices are high. They clearly think about healthy meals here.
Cozy restaurant , but not many options. The food was good but can improve.
There are a few places around town where the owner is also the operator, and Vegan restaurant/ cafe is one of them: it's a labour of love for Jeongmi, the head chef, chief purchasing officer, sole waiter, shift manager, dish hand, cleaner, and critic, so, if you've got to wait another minute or two for your home made carefully crafted burger or lasagna, ask for a cookie and an Oatly, swipe a book from the shelf, and settle back to the cool cruisy jazz playing while she gets your fresh organic meal just right for you. Oh yeah: you want a review of the food? It's awesome! It's unique: it is in no way a standard cookie cutter mass produced quickly pumped out uni form bland pulp you find some other (usually non human animal meat based) places. Jeongmi's been working on her own recipes for a while and has recently reached a new level of happiness with where she's at with each menu item, having settled into a set of options that provides a great variety. All are surprisingly creative, from the almond flour ginger bread cookies, to the kimbap with hummus. The other night I had the risotto for the first time. It includes a smooth, almost creamy thick hummus mixed with a variety of other vegetables and what is perhaps a sort of nut or seed based crumble coating or covering, and a super fresh side of salad, all of which work perfectly to balance out the textures and flavours. I've tried most of everything else on the menu and all are great. The quiche is incredible! Now? I'm looking forward to going back again soon. Updated from previous review on 2019 12 12
In this little « secret » place we felt so welcomed. The food was amazing, Jahamoon was friendly, spoke English very well, and cooked (she does everything! so good. It was new flavors we never tasted before, even the hummus! (and we live in the Middle East, so we’ve ate plenty . We can only recommend this place, nothing disappointed us.
